 The BLADE is a small solid-state controlled playback system that delivers fantastic video and audio to broadcast standards. Designed in-house, the BLADE looks and performs like no other product available today. The BLADE footprint is just 200Wx185Dx44Hmm. DVS designed this unique multi-board chassis to compliment our RAZOR range of products. This design concept enables the chassis to take either BLADE engines or powerful industrial ITX motherboards making an incredibly versatile combination.
It is the most flexible system available today driven by it's powerful and user friendly BladeRUNNER software. Designed as a stand alone or remote system, the BLADE can be networked with an environment or accept external transmission from corporate "mission control" via POTS, ISDN, ADSL, Cable and Satellite. Flexibility of control is key to the Blade II, with the ability to communicate via FTP, IP, RS232, OSD, contact closure and IR remote control. Storage capacity is not an issue, the BLADE can store MPEG clips in a number of formats - Compact Flash, Micro Drives, 2.5" and 3.5" Hard Disks. Downloads are very fast using the onboard 10/100BaseT LAN connector, information can be pulled or pushed to the BLADE via FTP or our own BladeRUNNER software. Able to output images in Video formats and with touch screen and barcode options the BLADE is the most cost effective expandable solution available.
