Hardware Products - Micro RazorATOM
|
DVS are very aware of museums and visitor attractions moving to “Green” policies to reduce their carbon footprints, with this in mind DVS have developed and introduced their Atom powered range of RAZOR’s. DVS have used power conscious components to support these new green policies.
The DVS MicroRAZOR ATOM incorporates a powerful but power conscious mini-ITX motherboard based on NVIDIA’s ION platform. NVIDIA’s ION platform combines Intel’s Atom CPU with NVIDIA’s GeForce 9300/9400M integrated graphics chipset, which has enough CPU/GPU power to play stutter free HD playback. NVIDIA® ION™ graphics processors turn up the visuals on compact, low-power PCs with performance up to 10X faster than similar systems. When combined with a low-power CPU like Intel Atom, ION graphics processors transform traditional under-performing PC designs into a premium experience. Discover new ION-based PCs that are small in size but big in performance.

To compliment the reduced power consumption of the Atom processor we can now use a low wattage PSU and a 16GB 2.5 inch SATA2 Solid State Drive. (larger SSD’s are optional)
The DVS MicroRAZOR ATOM is just under 1.5U in height and can be either mounted in a horizontal or vertical plane. Mounting within a rack cabinet environment two DVS MicroRAZOR ATOM’s can be mounted horizontally side by side or six DVS MicroRAZOR ATOM’s can be mounted vertically side by side taking up less than 5U in height.
The DVS MicroRAZOR ATOM is powerful on performance, ultra small in size and will reduce your carbon footprint. In most cases the MicroRAZOR ATOM will support museum exhibit requirements, however in some cases more performance will be required and therefore the RAZOR 5 would be the system of choice.
